On date 15.06.2017 at Hotel Emerald-Prishtina was held the ceremony of publication of the handbook on the “Principles of gender equality and non-discrimination in the Kosovo Police “ and launching the report of the” survey on the level of knowledge of Kosovo Police officers on gender equality “ these projects are implemented by Kosovo Women’s Police Association and the Human Rights Office of Kosovo Police ,supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo.
The attendees who were :Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo Mr.Stean-Ivar Lothe Eide,OSCE Ambassador in Kosovo Mr. Zt.Jan Braathu, Mr.Ake Roger from the OSCE Public Security Department ,Director of INL office Mr.Leon Lowder,representatives of EULEX ,OSCE,DCAF,Board members of AWPK ,members of Kosovo Police , In this case ,the Deputy General Director of the Kosovo Police Mr.Naim Rexha was approached by thanking the attendees by presenting the work and merits of the women of Kosovo Police ,he complimented the AWPK for the ongoing activities and engagements with the aim of promoting the role of women in Kosovo Police and also pledged the continued support from the senior management towards achievement of goals so that the percentage of woman of KP has a rise and also the role of woman in Kp to further strengthened .
In the words of the attendees addressed also the Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo Mr.Stean-Ivar Lothe Eide who complimented the work of AWPK pledging the continued support from them towards AWPK and KP goals.
OSCE Ambassador in Kosovo Mr. Zt.Jan Braathu said that the women in KP are bringing the dynamic to the community and that with the promotion of the women of KP will achieve wider involvement of women in the police by motivating the young girls and women to join the Kosovo Police and the support from the side of OSCE will be continuous towards AWPK and KP goals.
In the words the attendees were greeted by Deputy President of AWPK Miss. Florije Hajra who to attendees presented the work that AWPK is doing towards achieving the goals for empowering the role of women in the KP by thanking the participants ,local and international partners for continued support and unreserved support by the senior management of KP, were without these support ,a number of activities that contributed to it and contributed to the empowerment of the role and importance of women in KP would not have been carried out.
